Responsibilities & Achievements

• Designed and implemented a full-stack online bookstore using Spring Boot and Thymeleaf with an MVC architecture, delivering server-rendered responsive views for catalog browsing, book detail pages, cart management, and an end-to-end checkout flow

• Developed a service-layered backend using Spring Data JPA to model core domains (books, book details, images, categories, users, cart, orders, payments) and created a relational schema with seeded test data to validate business workflows

• Integrated Spring Security for role-based access control, protecting purchase flows and admin features; enhanced templates with Thymeleaf security integration for role-aware UI

• Implemented server-side form handling, server-side pagination and search, secure file upload for book covers, and static asset management to ensure a performant UX

• Delivered complete commerce flow validation via seeded demo data (10 books, 4 users, example cart and an order with payment totaling 600,000 VND) to demonstrate checkout and order processing

• Managed the project with Maven and Spring Boot (Jetty), organized code into controllers/services/repositories/models for maintainability and future CI/container adoption

• Applied design patterns including Repository Pattern and Dependency Injection; wrote clean, maintainable, and reusable code following SOLID principles
